Our third year of dragging hackers out of bed before dawn and tackling the west Las Vegas landscape. A fun, early morning ride the Friday of DefCon. This is not a fundraiser, it’s just a fun ride in Vegas (if there is such a thing).
Hack the Heat – August 4 2011 – Las Vegas NV

A fun, early morning ride the Thursday before DefCon. This is not a fundraiser, it’s just a fun ride in Vegas (if there is such a thing). We’ll be renting bikes from a local bike shop and getting a tour guide for the ride. We’re shooting for 20-25 miles starting at 6am. We’re also making a custom jersey if ppl want to buy one. Hack the Hat – September 27 – September 30 2011 – Cleveland OH Columbus, OH to Louisville KY
Our first big ride. We’ll be riding from Columbus (probably) to Louisville KY and attending the first Derby Con once we arrive (some of us are even speaking). The ride will be about 400 250 miles. We’re still working out the route, so details may change, including dates and starting point. It’ll still be a multi-day event the week before the con no matter what. Interested in joining us? Like the first Hack the Heat… only twoier. Once again, the goal is to make sure that the same number of people that start the ride, end the ride.
Hack the East – Summer 2012 – East Coast/New England

An even bigger ride and our first real fundraiser. We’re shooting for about 1000 miles over 2 weeks (give or take) and stopping at hacker spaces and colleges along the way. We’re still figuring out the charity we’ll be working with. The ride will probably take place mid-June and head north from the DC area, up towards Boston, and back down.
